We are seeking a Section Head to process all aspects of bespoke SIPP and SSAS administration, supporting clients and the team in a professional, team-oriented manner. You will act as technical support to the team, SIPP and SSAS clients and financial advisers, while leading a team of administrators and partnering with the CEO to develop client-centric processes.
Responsibilities
- Line-manage a team of administrators, providing technical support, guidance, appraisals and one-to-one sessions.
- Provide technical & administration training to individuals and the team.
- Ensure quality and efficient service when processing new business and ongoing servicing, delivering fair outcomes.
- Input client data into Platinum, maintain data throughout the lifecycle.
- Set up designated bank accounts with Bank of Scotland via the iSite platform.
- Crystallise pension benefits accurately and timely, making pension commencement lump-sum and income payments.
- Apply correct tax codes to income payments.
- Apply correct Lifetime Allowance, applying protections and recognising transitional protections.
- Report and arrange settlement of Lifetime Allowance charges via HMRC online services.
- Create contributions within Platinum and issue Contribution Payment Certificates when cleared.
- Process paperwork for transfers in from defined benefit and money purchase schemes, and in-specie transfers out, ensuring appropriate checks.
- Purchase and sell assets in line with the firm’s permitted investments list and within the defined timeframe.
- Create payments using Bank of Scotland’s iSite and Corporate Online systems.
Qualifications
- Extensive administration experience in the SIPP and/or SSAS industry.
- Previous line-management/leadership experience.
- Experience in an independent trustee environment is an advantage.
- Full Microsoft Suite experience.
- Familiarity with Deltas Platinum, Report~Pro, Bank of Scotland’s iSite and Corporate Banking Online platform, SharePoint and Watermark Technologies is beneficial.
