Urban Pubs, Bars and Restaurants are currently recruiting for a talented and highly skilled General Manager with personality & charisma for our expanding group. With an eclectic mix of properties and new openings to suit your personality and style, this really is an exciting time to join a people focused and progressive operations led business.
This is a former 19th century Gin Palace, this historic site was named in the 1840s in homage to the regular drinkers from nearby Punch magazine. The newly refurbished Punch retains much of its original period charm, with a spacious main bar and rear dining room available for private hire. At the bar, you'll find a gin and whisky lover's paradise, plus an excellent selection of craft beer and cask ale, and carefully curated wine list. On the menu, the focus is seasonality, with pub classics alongside delicious small plates and lunchtime wraps, in the City of London.
The Role
As GM you will take full ownership of all aspects of running the venue. You will be given autonomy and run the site as if it were your own business. Being business savvy and demonstrating great commercial acumen is a must. Your team will look up to you; it's essential to train, nurture and develop your staff to maintain incredibly high standards and customer satisfaction. You have impeccable floor, bar and late night experience knowledge as well as late night experience. You will be given the opportunity to train, personally develop and progress your career as the company continues to grow.
What we are looking for:

- Be cool, calm and collected, manage pressure with ease, nothing can phase you
- You're not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get things done
- Must have minimum 2 years’ experience as a general manager depending on the property being looked at
- Solid communication and organisational skills, be approachable
- Superb customer & floor service skills
- Excellent all-round business knowledge from financials to customer satisfaction
- An entrepreneurial flare
- Passionate about people, training, mentoring, growing a team but most importantly, loves to have fun
- Personal License holder beneficial
