Role Purpose
The Pub Development Coach is dedicated to enhancing the guest experience by empowering pub teams through effective training and development. This role focuses on creating and delivering tailored training programs that elevate service standards, foster a culture of excellence, and ensure every guest leaves with a memorable experience.
Accountabilities
- Training Development: Design and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to each pub’s needs, focusing on guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
- Partner: Work with Operations Managers and Management Partners to identify training needs and develop strategies.
- Delivery: Conduct engaging, interactive training sessions in‑person and virtually to ensure consistent, high‑quality service across all pubs.
- Support: Provide ongoing coaching and support to MPs and their pub teams, helping them continuously improve skills and performance.
- Evaluation: Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training programs, operations, and business controls; make adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.

- Operations Managers – collaborate to identify training needs and ensure effective implementation.
- Management Partners – partner to support pub teams, guiding and coaching to enhance performance.
- Food Business Managers & Training Support Chefs – integrate food service excellence into training programs.
- L&D Team – leverage best practices and resources to deliver innovative training solutions aligned with THIRST.
- Head of Operations, Operations Directors, Marketing Team, Property Managers – engage to support overall operational effectiveness.
