The Punch Bowl Inn is The Lake District's original gastro pub. Our multi-award-winning, nationally recognised, 2 AA Rosettes restaurant serves a classic British and French menu, using seasonally inspired and local ingredients, many of which are sourced from The Punch Bowl Farm. The most famous dishes on our menu are our Twice Baked Cheese Souffle, Creedy Carver Duck Breast and Lemon Tart with Damson Sorbet.

We are currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join our fun, supportive and down-to-earth team. The new chef will have the opportunity to work across all stations, gaining a real breadth of experience. They will also benefit from on-the-job training, tasting sessions, and local ingredients sourcing/foraging in an environment where restaurant exchanges and individual team member awards entry are actively encouraged.

We are keen to hear from individuals with experience in similar environments. However, most importantly is the right attitude. We are looking for someone who is hard-working, honest, reliable, a real team player with strong attention to detail, and a serious passion for quality food. Job Duties:

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards
  • Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards
