We’re looking for an apprentice engineer to join our family owned and operated pump maintenance and installation company on a full time basis with day release to college to complete a 3-year course. The role encompasses a wide discipline, and knowledge will be gained in both electrical and mechanical fields.
About the Employer: Pumptec Limited was formed in 1999 to provide routine and responsive maintenance services to owners and operators of wastewater pumping stations. In 2009 Pumptec Limited commissioned the tooling to manufacture high quality polyethylene pump chambers used for its own brand range of packaged wastewater pumping stations. To complement this successful product range we now have larger tanks to provide attenuation for foul and surface water applications plus chemical dosing systems for water and wastewater treatment. Located in Leeds, West Yorkshire, adjacent to the A1/M1/M62 motorways we have excellent access to all parts of the country in just a few hours.
What You'll Do:
- Servicing and maintaining a wide range of water and wastewater pumping equipment and control systems
- Responding to emergency breakdowns of aforementioned equipment to fault find and identify electrical and mechanical failures
- Installation, commissioning and testing of new pumping systems on site
- Fabrication and manufacture of pumping systems and pipework manifolds in our Leeds works
- Repair of pumps and control systems in our Leeds works
