We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our childcare setting. The ideal candidate will possess childcare and organisational skills, with a passion for early childhood education and child development.
Starting Salary: £35,000- £38,000pa + paid holidays and excellent further training and career progression opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Manager with the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Supervise staff and children.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare and educational programmes.
- Develop and implement curriculum plans that promote early childhood development and learning.
- Assist with staff recruitment, training, and performance appraisals to maintain a skilled and motivated team.
- Build strong relationships with parents, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns.
- Ensure health and safety policies are strictly followed to provide a secure environment for children and staff.
- Organise activities that support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Maintain accurate records related to children's attendance, progress, and staff schedules.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance nursery services and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Previous supervisory, room leader experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
- Experience working directly with children in early childhood education or childcare roles.
- Knowledge of nursery regulations, health & safety standards, and safeguarding procedures.
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ, CACHE Level 3 in Childcare or BA degree in early years education from UK or Overseas University.
