Seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager ideally someone with previous supervisory, Room Leader or Managerial experience. Ideally someone that holds a BA degree such as BA in Early Childhood Studies or has QTS, Qualified Teaching Status. Alternatively, a Level 3 qualification CACHE, NVQ, BTEC is acceptable and a passion for working with children is essential.

Starting salary: £33,000-£35,000pa + excellent further training and career progression opportunities, paid holidays.

Job Description:

  • Supervising early years practitioners and nursery assistants.
  • Working with babies, toddlers and children.
  • Overseeing planning and implementing creative learning activities for children in line with the EYFS, Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Interacting with parents and conducting show rounds.
  • Ensuring safety and wellbeing of children at all times.
  • Following and overseeing safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Working alongside the Nursery Manager in the overall running of the establishment.

Qualifications:

  • BA in Early Childhood Studies or a Level 3 qualification (CACHE, NVQ, BTEC).
  • Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Passion for working with children.
