Pumpflow Ltd is a British engineering company specialising in the design, fabrication, and testing of bespoke engineered pumps for major industries including oil & gas, water, and environmental sectors. We deliver innovative, reliable solutions built to exacting standards, supported by the UK’s largest independent pump test facility.

We are looking for a skilled Welder / Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. You’ll be involved in fabricating and assembling precision pump components and engineered assemblies used in bespoke pumping solutions and test equipment. Working closely with our in-house machine shop, you will have close collaboration with all areas of the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weld and fabricate components and assemblies to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and other specialist materials.
  • MIG and some TIG welding to a high standard.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication instructions, and weld symbols.
  • Ensure all work meets quality and safety requirements.
  • Support the wider team to deliver work to deadlines and required standards.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe working environment.

  • Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator.
  • Aspiration to develop and strive to become the best at your role.
  • Able to read and work from engineering drawings and develop fabrication procedures in collaboration with machining requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship.
  • Good understanding of safe working practices and PPE.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable (but not essential)
  • Welding qualifications (NVQ / CSWIP / coded welding tickets).
  • Experience in heavy engineering, pressure equipment, or industrial fabrication.
  • Experience in machining practices.
