Blue Arrow is recruiting for a hands-on Production Operative to join one of our prestigious clients in the engineering/fabrication industry in the ST10 area (temp to perm for the right candidate). This would be ideal for someone who has worked in manufacturing/engineering and wants a role in which they can learn and develop.
Start date: ASAP
Location: Stoke on Trent (ST10)
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 06:00-16:30 (four-day week). Friday morning may be required during busier periods.
Pay rate: £13.28 per hour, overtime paid at £17.70 per hour after 37 hours.
Duties include (but not limited to):
- Fitting Bollhoff components to counterweights
- Carrying out general production and fabrication tasks
- Operating basic workshop tools and equipment
- Following drawings, instructions, and quality standards
- Maintaining a clean and safe working area
- Supporting other areas of production as required
- Liaising with the management team on faults/issues during early stages to ensure customer satisfaction
What we are looking for:
- Ideally experience in a similar role; experience in a manufacturing/engineering role also considered
- Experience using hand tools (a pistol drill would be advantageous)
- Great attention to detail
- Willingness to learn
- Great attitude towards work, taking pride in the results of your hard work
- Reliable and flexible
