Responsibilities
- Ensure high customer service standards; manage store operations; oversee staff performance; handle cash desk transactions; maintain merchandising standards; and achieve financial and operational goals while adhering to company policies and safety regulations.
- Drive and achieve sales, KPIs, and profitability goals by offering and showing products to customers, assisting them in choosing products, consulting on product purposes, properties, quality, care rules, prices, offering substitutes, new and related products, calculating purchase costs, issuing receipts, preparing documents, packing purchases, and handling exchanges.
- Provide high standards of customer service and engagement on the sales floor; take measures to prevent and resolve conflict situations; foster effective communication within the team and with other departments.
- Spend 90% of time on the sales floor engaging with customers and coaching employees.
- Assist in recruiting, training, developing, and managing store staff; motivate and encourage retail sales staff to achieve sales targets.
- Process POS transactions (sales, exchanges, discounts, and refunds) accurately in compliance with Retail P&Ps.
- Identify, interpret, and diagnose store performance based on controllable operational KPIs (CR, UPT, ATV).
- Oversee loss prevention and ensure operational compliance.
- Achieve or exceed inventory and shrink goals; manage physical inventory counts.
- Handle incoming and outgoing merchandise and communicate opportunities; ensure the store’s visual presentation meets or exceeds PUMA VM standards.
- Prepare and analyze sales reports, and provide insights to improve performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in a retail environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or senior retail staff role.
- Minimum completed full school/vocational school education (high school diploma) or higher.
- Sales (profitability management and performance) skills – managing payroll and ensuring profitability.
- Analytical abilities to prepare and analyze sales reports and provide insights.
- Ability to interpret and diagnose store performance based on controllable operational KPIs (CR, UPT, ATV).
- Strong product knowledge – understanding purposes, properties, quality, care rules, and prices of PUMA products; offering substitutes, new and related products.
- Customer service and communication skills – maintain high standards of customer experience and handle sales transactions accurately.
- Strong engagement on the sales floor; ability to coach employees.
- Sales floor stock management – maintain stock levels, sizes, styles.
- Visual and presentation skills – ensure store’s visual presentation meets or exceeds PUMA VM standards.
- Self‑leadership – work independently, manage own emotions, and be efficient.
- Technological proficiency – retail software, inventory management and POS systems.
- Compliance knowledge – ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Physical ability to constantly walk and move about; use of senses: speaking, hearing, near and far acuity, depth perception, field of vision.
