YOUR MISSION
PUMA Group is seeking a Tax Manager to join our Global Tax team.
This role focuses on managing and supporting day-to-day tax activities related to PUMA Group's central functions in Germany and abroad.
Reporting to the Head of Tax Europe & Central Functions, the position covers operational tax topics and ensures timely, accurate compliance and reporting while supporting the strategic tax agenda led by the Head of Tax Europe & Central Functions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILTIES ARE
- Manage and support day-to-day tax matters for PUMA Group's central functions in Germany and internationally.
- Coordinate tax compliance activities and provide practical guidance to internal stakeholders on operational tax questions.
- Work closely with Finance, Accounting, HR and other central functions to collect information, align timelines, and ensure tax deliverables are completed accurately.
- Monitor relevant tax law changes and communicate impacts to the Head of Tax Europe & Central Functions; support implementation of required process updates.
- Prepare and/or review tax returns, filings, reports and supporting documentation (including requirements under Global Minimum Tax regulations / Pillar Two, where applicable).
- Support the preparation of tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements related to central and group functions, coordinating inputs and ensuring documentation is complete and audit-ready.
- Act as day-to-day point of contact for tax authorities and external advisors for operational topics; elevate complex matters as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement of tax processes for central functions (e. g., checklists, timelines, documentation standards) and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- YOUR TALENT
- Professional experience of at least 2-3 years in corporate tax or an international advisory firm, ideally with exposure to operational tax compliance and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of German and international tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English and German.
