With no capital losses to date, we've also been able to attract £1bn of funding from established institutional investors, to complement the funds raised from our retail investors. We have provided over £2bn of funding to property developments since inception and continue to grow both our retail and institutional capital sources.

The individual will work closely with experienced Directors and Managing Directors who are ultimately responsible for origination and borrower relationships.

Role Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire deal lifecycle with appropriate oversight from Directors and Managing Directors, from initial underwriting, credit approval through to transaction closing, portfolio management and final repayment.
  • Assist Directors and Managing Directors with pipeline origination management, initial deal screening and underwriting including early‑stage due diligence, preparation of detailed financial models, term sheets and deal steering memos.
  • Conduct detailed sponsor, market, and asset‑level due diligence, and take a substantial role in the preparation of robust quantitative and qualitative credit memos for both new and existing transactions.
  • Lead the post credit approval transaction legal execution process, managing multiple internal and external stakeholders toward strict completion timeframes (including lawyers, valuers, project monitors, insurance advisors).
  • Oversee portfolio asset management and reporting, working closely with internal teams (including Risk & Portfolio Management, Finance, and Legal), and acting as the primary interface with borrowers and external advisers.
  • Work with other Managers and Senior Managers to coordinate tasks and delegate appropriate responsibilities to Associates.
  • Perform other duties as required across the team.
Experience Required
  • Demonstrable real estate finance underwriting and execution experience with a bank or alternative lender with a focus on development and value add transactions.
  • Thorough understanding of the whole funding lifecycle, with proven experience driving and managing transactions from cradle to grave.
  • Experience structuring and managing UK senior debt facilities across traditional and alternative sectors (preferably in Living, Healthcare, Office, Industrial and Hospitality).
  • A sound understanding of the risk analysis process in assessing real estate finance opportunities across multiple sectors.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling.
Personal Attributes
  • Kind, values-driven, adaptable and willing to get stuck into whatever needs doing.
  • Depth of character and gravitas but operating with humility.
  • The drive and attitude to excel in a high‑performing fast‑paced environment whilst maintaining high levels of integrity.
  • Energy, dynamism, and passion for complex business challenges.
  • Organised, rigorous and disciplined.
  • Pragmatic and practical.
  • Proactive thinker with detail‑oriented and creative approach to problem solving.
  • Able to express complex issues succinctly and clearly in a digestible format.
