Responsibilities include driving and achieving sales, KPIs and profitability goals, processing sales transactions, issuing receipts and handling exchanges. Provide a high standard of customer service and engagement on the sales floor; prevent and resolve conflict situations; foster effective communication within the team and with other departments. Spend at least 90% of time on the sales floor engaging customers and coaching employees. Recruit, train, develop and manage store staff, motivating them to meet sales targets. Process POS transactions accurately in accordance with retail policies and identify store performance through operational KPIs (e.g., CR, UPT, ATV). Oversee loss prevention, ensuring operational compliance and protecting merchandise. Manage inventory and shrink goals, conduct physical inventory counts and handle merchandise movement while communicating opportunities. Ensure visual presentation meets or exceeds company VM standards. Prepare and analyse sales reports, provide insights to improve performance, and ensure profitability and payroll management. Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures and legal requirements. Possess comprehensive product knowledge, including purposes, properties, quality, care rules and pricing, offering substitutes and complementary items to customers. Manage stock levels on the sales floor, ensuring appropriate sizes and styles are available. Demonstrate self-leadership, independence and effective emotion management. Utilise retail software, inventory management and POS systems proficiently.
Physical requirements include continual walking and movement, clear vision, hearing, near and far acuity, depth perception and field of vision.
Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years in a retail environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or senior retail staff role. Minimum completed full school or vocational education (e.g., high school diploma), or higher.
