Key Responsibilities
- Sales Management: Drive and achieve sales, KPIs, and profitability goals by offering and showing products, assisting customers in selection, consulting on product purpose, properties, quality, care rules, and prices, suggesting substitutes and related products, calculating purchase costs, issuing receipts, preparing documents, packing purchases, and handling exchanges.
- Customer Experience & Communication: Ensure high standards of customer service and engagement on the sales floor, prevent and resolve conflict situations, and foster effective communication within the team and with other departments.
- Salesfloor Engagement: Spend at least 90% of time on the sales floor engaging with customers and coaching employees.
- Team Management: Assist in recruiting, training, developing, and managing store staff; motivate and encourage retail sales staff to achieve sales targets.
- Store Operations: Process POS transactions (sales, exchanges, discounts, and refunds) accurately in compliance with Retail P&Ps; identify, interpret, and diagnose store performance using controllable operational KPIs (e.g., CR, UPT, ATV).
- Loss Prevention: Oversee loss prevention and ensure operational compliance.
- Inventory Management: Achieve or exceed inventory and shrink goals; manage physical inventory counts.
- Merchandise Management: Handle incoming and outgoing merchandise; communicate opportunities; ensure visual presentation meets or exceeds PUMA VM standards.
- Reporting: Prepare and analyze sales reports, and provide insights to improve performance.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Product Knowledge: Understanding of product purposes, properties, quality, care rules, and pricing; ability to offer substitutes, new and related products.
- Sales & Profitability Management: Ability to analyze sales reports, interpret trends, and provide insights to improve performance.
- Self-Leadership: Ability to work independently, manage emotions, and handle challenges.
- Technology: Proficiency in retail software, inventory management, and POS systems.
- Compliance Knowledge: Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Inventory and Merchandise Management: Handling inventory, managing shrink goals, and processing merchandise.
