This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a senior designer who wants real influence on a brand’s overall look and appearance. This Creative Design Manager role sits between Creative Director and Design Lead responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on agency management and design governance. You will be the guardian of Pulsio’s visual identity and UX, responsible for managing and elevating agency output across all brand touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand, Design & UX Authority
- Own and uphold Pulsio’s visual identity across all digital touchpoints.
- Act as the final design and UX/UI authority across the business.
- Define, maintain, and protect what “good” looks like for the brand.
- Ensure consistently high-quality, premium, and on-brand execution.
- Manage agency output and ensure that these agencies are fulfilling their expected performance standards.
- Manage and direct multiple external agencies and designers across website, ads, creatives, email, and social media creatives.
- Lead the briefing, feedback, and approval process.
- Challenge agencies where work does not meet expected standards to drive continuous improvement.
- Own UX/UI standards across the Pulsio website, including landing pages and key user journeys.
- Work closely with agencies and developers on website builds and updates.
- Review and approve final website outputs prior to launch to ensure the finished product matches intended brand standards.
- Provide hands-on design input when required.
- Clearly show expected design standards and execution through leading by example.
- Support high-priority launches or fast-turnaround needs.
About You
- 5+ years’ experience in digital, UX/UI, or brand design.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI design.
- Confidence giving clear, direct, and constructive design feedback.
- Comfortable operating in a high-demand, fast-moving environment.
Requirements and Skills
- Minimum of five years’ professional experience using Figma/ Adobe XD or similar.
- At least two years’ experience within e-commerce or consumer brands.
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating digital design skills and branded projects.
- Proven ability to manage third parties and lead design projects from conception through to final execution.
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and Figma.
- Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating across teams.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
- Right to work in the UK.
