We're looking for a Senior Manual QA Tester to take ownership of quality across a growing software product.
You'll design and execute test plans, dig into edge cases, and act as the last line of defense before features reach users.
This role suits someone who thinks like both a detective and an advocate for the end user - comfortable working without full specifications, and confident raising concerns even late in a sprint.
You'll work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to keep quality high as the product evolves.
Strong attention to detail and clear, structured bug reporting are essential.
This is a senior, largely independent role with real influence over how testing is done.

About the project
The project is a software product used by business customers, under active, ongoing development with regular releases.
The team ships new features and improvements on a continuous basis, which means testing needs to keep pace without slowing delivery down.
Quality is treated as a shared responsibility across the team, but manual testing plays a central role in catching issues that automated coverage doesn't reach - particularly around usability, edge cases, and real-world workflows.
The environment is collaborative, with QA working closely alongside developers and product throughout the development cycle rather than only at the end of it.
- You have
- 6+ years of experience in manual QA/software testing
- Based in the UK
- Strong skills in test planning, test case design, and exploratory testing
- Experience writing clear, detailed bug reports and tracking them through resolution
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA's role within it
- Ability to work independently, prioritize testing effort, and make judgment calls on risk areas
- Fluent English
- What to do
- Design, write, and maintain test plans and test cases based on requirements and specs
- Perform manual functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing
- Identify, document, and track bugs clearly, with enough detail for developers to reproduce and fix them
- Verify fixes and perform regression testing ahead of releases
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and edge cases
- Flag quality risks and advocate for the end user throughout the development cycle
- Help refine and improve QA processes and testing coverage over time
