About the Role: As our Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and building solutions for our internal products that engage millions of sports fans worldwide. You'll work across a range of technologies to create unforgettable fan experiences, from integrating live sports data and video to ensuring high availability and scalability across web and native applications. This role combines hands-on technical work with strategic guidance, and you'll be working closely with engineering teams to ensure the architecture of our systems meets high standards of performance, security, and maintainability.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide technical leadership, guiding engineering teams through architectural decisions, reviews, and design discussions.
- Act as a Chapter Lead, mentoring team members and supporting their technical growth.
- Establish and lead technical Working Groups to drive the adoption of new technologies and improve development practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business goals and architectural vision.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in software architecture and engineering techniques across squads.
Technical & Hands-On Responsibilities:
- Design and build scalable, secure, and highly available software solutions for millions of sports fans.
- Lead the integration of a variety of data sources, including live sports feeds, video, and commentary, into our systems.
- Ensure the architecture and design of our systems are robust and maintainable, able to support millions of concurrent users.
- Evaluate new technologies and techniques to continuously innovate and improve the quality of our solutions.
- Write clear, concise technical documentation and present solutions to stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
- Expertise in the Following: Java 11+, Spring Boot & Spring 5, JPA/Hibernate, Microservice Architecture, RESTful APIs, Cloud Computing, and SaaS.
- Deep experience designing and implementing high-traffic, microservice-based architectures.
- Strong understanding of how back-end services support front-end and mobile applications.
- Skills in: Problem-solving in high-traffic, high-performance environments.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for collaboration.
- A deep interest in sports technology and creating immersive fan experiences.
