We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Locum Paediatric Audiologist to join Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust for a 6-month contract. This role provides the opportunity to work within a countywide service, delivering high-quality audiology care to children across various settings. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Band 6 paediatric audiologist, along with a specialist master’s-level module in paediatric audiology. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in paediatric care within a dynamic NHS environment.
Responsibilities:
- Providing a wide range of audiological services, including hearing assessments, diagnostic testing, and fitting and managing hearing aids for paediatric patients.
- Assisting in identifying and managing hearing disorders, ensuring timely and accurate intervention.
- Working closely with families, providing education and advice on hearing loss and other related conditions.
- Contributing to audits and maintaining accurate patient records, using clinical systems like Auditbase to support efficient service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Essential: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Band 6 Paediatric Audiologist. Specialist master’s-level module in Paediatric Audiology. Professional registration with the AHCS or HCPC.
- Desirable: HTS certificate in Paediatric Audiology (6 months+). Knowledge of Auditbase system.
