We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Diabetes Specialist Podiatrist to join our client’s dynamic team in Romford, London. In this vital role, you will utilise your expertise to provide exceptional care and management for patients with complex diabetic foot and lower limb conditions. Key Responsibilities:
- Providing expert clinical care and management for patients with complex diabetic foot and lower limb complications.
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including diabetologists, vascular surgeons, and orthopaedic specialists, to deliver comprehensive treatment plans.
- Assessing, diagnosing, and managing high-risk patients, offering specialised wound care, and preventing complications through early intervention.
- Providing education and support to patients, colleagues, and primary care partners, ensuring the highest standards of diabetic foot care are maintained.
- Enhancing patient outcomes and reducing the incidence of diabetes-related amputations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- BSc (Hons) in Podiatry or Diploma in Podiatric Medicine.
- Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Certificate in Local Anaesthesia.
- Minimum of three years of experience in managing diabetic foot conditions.
- Experience in acute wound management in a hospital or community setting.
- Post-graduate clinical experience in diabetes care, off-loading, and casting.
- Independent Prescriber’s qualification.
