About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 3 Therapy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of therapy programs under the supervision of qualified therapists.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to patients during therapy sessions, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas.
  • Monitor and record patient progress, reporting any changes to the supervising therapist.
  • Assist with patient mobility and exercises as directed by the therapy team.
  • Support patients with activities of daily living as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care planning.

Essential Requirements

  • HCPC registration
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Acute NHS inpatient experience, particularly in respiratory and surgical settings.

Desirable Skills and Attributes

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Basic IT skills for patient record-keeping.

Working Conditions

Onsite accommodation available if required at £26 – £43 per night (£370 – £470 per month).

A 20-minute break must be deducted for every 6 hours worked. Breaks are not paid.
