We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Forensic Psychiatry to work full-time for our NHS client based in Southampton, Hampshire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering specialist psychiatric care across forensic inpatient, low secure, and community mental health team (CMHT) settings.
- Conducting detailed assessments and formulating treatment plans.
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of safe and effective mental health services.
- Participating in ward rounds, clinical meetings, documentation, and service development initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- GMC registration (essential)
- Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status (essential)
- Experience in forensic psychiatry, including low secure, inpatient, and CMHT settings
- Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
- Commitment to delivering patient-centred care
