The radiography team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 7 General Radiographer with at least one year of UK experience to join our dynamic team in Preston. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality radiographic services and ensuring the best care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting a range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans, while ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Preparing patients for these procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and obtaining informed consent.
- Operating and maintaining radiographic equipment to ensure it functions correctly and safely.
- Assisting in the initial interpretation of images and reporting significant findings to the supervising radiologist or clinician.
- Adhering to quality assurance protocols and health and safety regulations to maintain high standards of practice.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation related to imaging procedures, including consent forms and reports.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
- Providing guidance and support to junior radiographers, students, and support staff, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development and training to stay up to date with advancements in radiography and imaging techniques.
- A relevant degree in Radiography or a related field, and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- A minimum of 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in a clinical setting, with experience in general radiography within the NHS or private sector in the UK.
- Proficiency in using imaging equipment and a solid understanding of radiographic techniques and safety protocols.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and to lead and supervise junior staff when required.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure patient safety and accurate imaging results.
