We are currently seeking a dedicated Band 6/7 Locum Nuclear Medicine/PET-CT Technologist to join our team in Staffordshire. This role involves working Monday to Friday from 08:00 am to 04:00 pm, starting on January 27th. With a competitive pay rate of £26-£31 per hour, the position is initially for 3 months, offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of nuclear medicine and PET-CT procedures, ensuring accurate and high-quality diagnostic imaging.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals.
- Operate sophisticated imaging equipment.
- Maintain detailed patient records.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols.
- Contribute to the department’s quality assurance processes.
Requirements:
- Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with the HCPC.
- Significant experience in nuclear medicine and PET-CT imaging, ideally at Band 6/7 level.
- Proficiency in the preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
- Knowledge of radiation safety and best practices.
- Strong technical skills in operating nuclear medicine and PET-CT equipment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload effectively.
