We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work full-time for our NHS client based in Blackburn, Lancashire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start.
Responsibilities:
- Working across general adult mental health services, including inpatient units and Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT).
- Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments.
- Leading on treatment planning.
- Providing clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team.
- Participating in ward rounds and case conferences.
- Ensuring documentation is maintained in line with NHS standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- GMC registration (essential).
- Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status (essential).
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register with a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Adult Psychiatry (essential).
- Experience in general adult psychiatry, including inpatient and CMHT settings.
- Strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills.
