We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work full-time for our NHS client based in Blackburn, Lancashire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start.

Responsibilities:

  • Working across general adult mental health services, including inpatient units and Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT).
  • Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments.
  • Leading on treatment planning.
  • Providing clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participating in ward rounds and case conferences.
  • Ensuring documentation is maintained in line with NHS standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • GMC registration (essential).
  • Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status (essential).
  • Inclusion on the Specialist Register with a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Adult Psychiatry (essential).
  • Experience in general adult psychiatry, including inpatient and CMHT settings.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills.
