We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant in Child and Adolescent CAMHS Psychiatry (CMHT) to work full time hours for our NHS client based in Abingdon, Berkshire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract.
Responsibilities:
- Providing expert clinical assessments and diagnoses for children and adolescents experiencing complex mental health issues.
- Leading and overseeing the development of comprehensive treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
- Managing and supporting multidisciplinary teams, ensuring effective collaboration between various healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses.
- Supervising and mentoring junior staff and trainees, contributing to their professional development.
- Engaging in regular MDT (Multidisciplinary Team) meetings to discuss patient progress, share insights, and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
- Involvement in service development and quality improvement initiatives, aiming to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of CAMHS services.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Must have a full GMC licence to practice.
- Relevant previous experience working in this type of position.
- Section 12/RC approval is essential.
- Approved clinician status is desired but not essential.
