We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work full time hours for our NHS client based in Cannock, Staffordshire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough psychiatric assessments of adults, considering their personal history and presenting symptoms.
  • Developing individualised treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Leading a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with various healthcare professionals to oversee therapeutic interventions such as medication management and crisis interventions.
  • Regularly monitoring and evaluating the progress of patients, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimise care.
  • Contributing to risk assessments and management strategies, ensuring the safety and well-being of those under your care.

This role requires both clinical expertise and a compassionate approach to support individuals in their mental health journey.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Full GMC licence to practice
  • Section 12
  • Approved Clinician
  • 6 Months Previous experience in similar role – Desirable
