South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Locum Speech and Language Therapist with expertise in learning disabilities and dysphagia to join our team at Fox View Hub in Dewsbury. This role is focused on providing specialist speech and language therapy services to individuals with learning disabilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering specialist assessment and intervention services to individuals with learning disabilities, with a particular emphasis on dysphagia.
- Conducting detailed assessments of communication and swallowing difficulties.
- Developing and implementing tailored therapy plans.
- Monitoring and reviewing patient progress to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to address complex needs.
- Engaging with patients and their families to provide education and support regarding communication and swallowing management.
Your role will be based at Fox View Hub, and while the position is primarily site-based, you may need to travel occasionally within the area.
