Job Title: Locum Oncology Pharmacist- London
Band:8Location:London
Working Hours:Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30 (1-hour lunch break)
Start Date:ASAP
Duration:Full-time until 4th April 2025 (potential to be extended)
Rate:£35 – £43 per hour

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oncology Pharmacist to join our team in London. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing specialized pharmaceutical care to oncology and hematology patients. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, contributing to patient care, and supporting clinical trials.

Responsibilities:

As an Oncology Pharmacist, you will be responsible for screening oncology and hematology prescriptions, managing inpatient and outpatient medication therapy, and providing expert advice on the use of oncology medications. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and educate patients on medication use. Additionally, you will participate in clinical trials, manage aseptic preparations, and support the training and development of pharmacy staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous oncology and hematology inpatient and outpatient experience
  • BOPA passport
  • Experience in screening oncology/hematology prescriptions
  • Aseptic experience
  • AHSCT transplant experience (desirable)
  • Clinical trials experience (desirable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
