Band 7 Radiotherapist Locum – London
Location: London
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 1st November 2024 (potential to be extended, service dependent)
Working Hours: 08:00 am – 5:30 pm
Pay Rate: Β£25.00 – Β£30.00 P/H
Days: Monday – Friday

The radiography team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 7 Radiotherapist with at least one year of UK experience to join our dynamic team in London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality radiotherapy services, implementing treatment plans, and ensuring the best care for our patients. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and support the continuous improvement of our services.

Responsibilities:

As a Band 7 Radiotherapist, you will perform PET/CT scans and administer radiopharmaceuticals while ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will operate GE PET/CT scanners, troubleshoot technical issues, and carry out IV cannulations for the administration of contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes. Additionally, you will conduct quality assurance procedures, monitor and document patient progress, and communicate findings to relevant medical staff. Your role will also involve participating in departmental audits, providing education and support to patients and their families, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for staff and patients.

Skills/Experience Required:

β€’ Relevant qualification in Radiotherapy or a related field (e.g., BSc in Radiotherapy or equivalent).
β€’ Minimum of 1 year of UK experience in PET/CT scanning and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
β€’ IV Cannulation certificate.
β€’ BLS training.
β€’ Experience in operating GE PET/CT scanners.
