We are seeking a proficient Band 7 Locum Sonographer to join our team in Surrey for a three-month contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting, providing expert ultrasound services across a variety of cases. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality imaging and exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, and vascular scans.
  • Ensure accurate and high-quality imaging, adhering to clinical protocols and safety standards.
  • Involve patient preparation, conducting scans, interpreting results, and providing detailed reports to assist in patient diagnosis and management.
  • Work closely with the healthcare team to support efficient service delivery and contribute to the ongoing development of the ultrasound department.
  • Produce high quality ultrasound reports under the delegation of the lead radiologist for Ultrasound and in accordance with accepted practice and protocols within the Obstetrics Department.
  • Contribute to providing a high quality and efficient ultrasound service.
  • Maintain the high standards of the department by contributing to individual and team objectives.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Radiographer/Sonographer.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound.
  • Extensive experience in a range of ultrasound procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to patient care and high standards of practice.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying clinical demands.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
