We are seeking a proficient Band 7 Locum Sonographer to join our team in Surrey for a three-month contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting, providing expert ultrasound services across a variety of cases. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality imaging and exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, and vascular scans.
- Ensure accurate and high-quality imaging, adhering to clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Involve patient preparation, conducting scans, interpreting results, and providing detailed reports to assist in patient diagnosis and management.
- Work closely with the healthcare team to support efficient service delivery and contribute to the ongoing development of the ultrasound department.
- Produce high quality ultrasound reports under the delegation of the lead radiologist for Ultrasound and in accordance with accepted practice and protocols within the Obstetrics Department.
- Contribute to providing a high quality and efficient ultrasound service.
- Maintain the high standards of the department by contributing to individual and team objectives.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration as a Radiographer/Sonographer.
- Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound.
- Extensive experience in a range of ultrasound procedures.
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to patient care and high standards of practice.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying clinical demands.
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
