We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 7 Pharmacist to join our team at Pulse AHP. The ideal candidate will have clinical hospital experience, preferably in oncology. Experience with clinical trials is desirable.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Screening prescriptions on clinical trials oncology wards.
  • Providing pharmaceutical care to oncology patients.
  • Ensuring the safe and effective use of medication.
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
  • Participating in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Educating and training healthcare staff on pharmaceutical practices.
  • Managing and overseeing the supply of medicines.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Master’s degree in pharmacy (or equivalent).
  • Post-graduate clinical pharmacy qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Significant experience in oncology & Clinical trials.

Desirable:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deliver complex information to patients and their relatives effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Enthusiasm for training and developing other members of staff.

Training:

Training will be provided for the use of the electronic prescribing system, Chemo care.
