Band 7 Locum General and Gynae Sonographer

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Band 7 General and Gynae Sonographer to join our team in North Yorkshire. This ongoing role offers a competitive pay rate of £50-£52 per hour, with working hours from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week). The position is available for an immediate start, providing a great opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Band 7 General and Gynae Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of general and gynecological ultrasound scans, ensuring high-quality imaging to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. You will manage patient care during the procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort, and produce detailed reports for the referring clinicians. Additionally, you will collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain a high standard of imaging services, adhere to safety protocols, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification with a postgraduate diploma in Medical Ultrasound.
  • Current registration with the HCPC.
  • Extensive experience in performing general and gynecological ultrasound scans, preferably at Band 7 level.
  • Proficiency in operating advanced ultrasound equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound safety standards and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
