About the role:
The radiography team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 7 CT Radiographer with at least one year of UK experience to join our team in Central London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality radiographic services and ensuring the best care for our patients.
Your main responsibilities as a CT Radiographer:
Your main responsibilities as a CT Radiographer include providing a high-quality diagnostic radiographic service within a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring safe practice according to departmental protocols, and performing accurate, safe, and efficient CT examinations. You will demonstrate basic skills in CT radiography while mentoring junior radiographers, maintain positive professional links, and promote service standards within CT. Additionally, you will deputize for the Superintendent in their absence to ensure continuity and take daily responsibility for organizing and directing workflow. Ensure patient comfort and safety before, during, and after CT procedures. Provide clear instructions and support to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Regularly check and maintain CT equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly. Report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel. Accurately document patient information, procedure details, and any observations during the CT scan. Ensure all records are kept up-to-date and comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and yourself. Use protective equipment and techniques to ensure a safe working environment. Stay updated with the latest advancements in CT technology and radiography practices. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities. Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret CT images and provide accurate diagnostic information. Participate in case discussions and contribute to patient care plans. Monitor and manage the inventory of CT supplies and materials. Ensure that all necessary items are available and properly stored. Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies that may occur during CT procedures. Provide immediate assistance and follow emergency protocols as needed.
