Rate: £55.00 – £60.00 per hour

We are seeking a highly skilled Band 7 General Sonographer to join our team in London. This role offers a competitive pay rate of £55-£60 per hour, with working hours from 08:00 am to 04:00 pm, with potential shifts extending to 06:00 pm or 08:00 pm. The position is set to start as soon as possible and will initially run for 6 months, with the possibility of extensions. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated sonographer to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing top-notch diagnostic imaging services.

Responsibilities:

As a Band 7 General Sonographer, you will perform a variety of general ultrasound scans to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will operate advanced ultrasound equipment, ensuring the production of high-quality images and detailed reporting. Your role involves maintaining patient comfort and safety during procedures, adhering to established protocols, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless service delivery. Additionally, you will contribute to the department’s quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification with a postgraduate diploma in Medical Ultrasound.
  • Current registration with the HCPC.
  • Extensive experience in general ultrasound imaging, preferably at Band 7 level.
  • Proficiency in operating advanced ultrasound equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound safety standards and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
