About the role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aseptic Technician to support our Oncology Pharmacy service. The successful candidate will provide expert clinical knowledge to a wide variety of healthcare professionals. This role requires knowledge and use of the Aria electronic prescribing system. While onsite presence is preferred, remote work can be discussed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will support the Oncology Pharmacy service.
- You will provide expert clinical knowledge to healthcare professionals.
- You will utilize the Aria electronic prescribing system.
- You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for aseptic preparation.
- You will assist in the supervision, training, and support of aseptic preparation activities.
- You will maintain accurate records and logs in accordance with local procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience/Knowledge:
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacy technician.
- Previous experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting.
- Significant experience in aseptic preparation and handling of cytotoxic products.
- Proficiency in the use of the Aria electronic prescribing system.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Good organizational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
