The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is currently recruiting a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist in blood transfusion to work in a busy hospital in Leeds. We are looking for a Biomedical Scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory’s service.
What will you be doing in this Biomedical Scientist role?
As a Biomedical Scientist in blood transfusion, you will be expected to have excellent experience in blood typing and cross-matching using analysers. Experience issuing blood for transfusions would be preferable. Any experience with complex transfusion reactions would also be a plus.
The client is usually happy to consider someone who is strong in either transfusion or haematology. You will be experienced in maintaining and troubleshooting analysers, alongside your usual duties in loading and operation.
Requirements for this Biomedical Scientist position:
• HCPC registered
• UK NHS or private sector laboratory experience
• Qualification in Biomedical Science
• Use of Winpath and/or Erytra is an advantage
