Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6/7 Locum Physiotherapist to join our team. This role is essential for providing high-quality physiotherapy services within an acute medical ward, specifically focusing on complex medical cases, frailty, or oncology patients.
What your responsibilities will be for this Physiotherapist role?
As a Band 6 Locum MSK Physiotherapist you will assess and manage patients with complex medical needs, developing individualized treatment plans to support their rehabilitation and recovery. You will implement evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment strategies as necessary. You will collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients. You will provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting self-management and understanding of their conditions. You will maintain accurate clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and professional standards.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy
- Experience in an acute medical ward setting, particularly with complex medical, frailty, or oncology patients
- Strong clinical assessment and reasoning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
