This post is based in Kettering.About the role:As a Pediatric community Speech and Language Therapist, you\’ll provide vital support to students with autism and learning disabilities. In this role, you\’ll assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication problems, enabling each child to achieve their full potential. Collaborating with educators, parents, and other therapists, you\’ll develop individualized plans tailored to each student\’s needs. Your expertise will enhance their academic abilities and improve their daily lives and interactions.Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:Assess and diagnose communication disorders, providing specialist advice to professionals and families.Work autonomously, demonstrating a specialist knowledge and range of therapeutic approaches.Plan evidence-based therapeutic interventions, collaborating with education staff, schools, nurseries, and families as appropriate.Deliver group and individual therapy sessions.Provide regular reports, advice, and therapy programmes to education staff, parents, and health professionals.Must have a Smartcard, knowledge of SystemOne, and own transport.Proven competence in dysphagia assessment and care planning for children under 1 year.Requirements:HCPC registration.Experience managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia.Experience working with families.Why work with Pulse?We offer a knowledgeable, dedicated, and experienced permanent team with longstanding professional relationships across multiple clients.
