Salary: £29 to £34 p/h

Shift pattern: Full time/Part time

Duration: 3 months

The AHP team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Band 6/7 Adult acute Speech & Language Therapist to join our team in Southport. Our centre supports individuals with challenging and complex needs through a neuro-behavioural rehabilitation programme.

Main Responsibilities:

Facilitate therapeutic group sessions to improve speech and communication skills.

Build rapport with service users to encourage engagement and recovery.

Manage complex cases using specialist skills, considering cultural and linguistic differences.

Develop strategies for caseload management.

Conduct audits and contribute to research to improve treatment.

Apply knowledge in neuro-behavioural, brain injury, and specialist care.

Requirements:

HCPC registration.

Competent to assess, diagnose, and manage dysphagia in adult acute inpatients.

Strong prioritization skills.

Dysphagia trained with signed competencies, able to see patients independently.

Experience with neurological disorders, acute medical diagnoses, chronic respiratory disorders, frailty, and dementia.
