We are looking for a motivated and skilled Band 5 Pharmacy Technician to join our client’s team in Sutton. This role involves working primarily on the wards with some dispensary cover during the day. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services to our client’s patients.
Responsibilities:
- Providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, including medication management and administration.
- Conducting medication reconciliation, preparing and dispensing medications, and providing advice on the safe use of medicines.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient care, ensure compliance with legal and professional standards, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) certification
- Medicines Management Technician (MMT) experience/accreditation
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC)
- Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting
- Strong understanding of medication management and dispensing processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry advancements
