Working hours: 34.5 hours/week, 9:30 to 17:30 Monday to Thursday, 9:30 to 17:00 on Fridays (60 mins break)

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Band 5 Pharmacy Technician to join our client’s team in Sutton. This role involves working primarily on the wards with some dispensary cover during the day. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services to our client’s patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, including medication management and administration.
  • Conducting medication reconciliation, preparing and dispensing medications, and providing advice on the safe use of medicines.
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient care, ensure compliance with legal and professional standards, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) certification
  • Medicines Management Technician (MMT) experience/accreditation
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC)
  • Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting
  • Strong understanding of medication management and dispensing processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry advancements
