About the role: The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 5 Pharmacy ACT Technician to join our Dispensary Department in London. This full-time position offers a competitive pay rate and the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You will perform final accuracy checks on prescriptions prepared by other pharmacy staff to ensure they are correct and safe for patient use.
  • You will identify and rectify any potential errors in prescriptions, such as incorrect dosages or medication types.
  • You will ensure that all prescriptions comply with legal and regulatory standards.
  • You will maintain high standards of patient safety by verifying that the correct medication is dispensed to the right patient.

  • You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualifications: Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • NVQ3 in Pharmaceutical Services or medicines management.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 months recent UK NHS hospital experience.
  • Strong background in hospital pharmacy.
  • Excellent team management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
