We are seeking an experienced Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to work part-time for our NHS client based in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start.
Responsibilities:
- Working across community mental health teams (CMHT) and inpatient settings, delivering specialist psychiatric care to older adults.
- Conducting assessments, developing and overseeing treatment plans.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality mental health services.
- Participating in ward rounds, clinical meetings, and maintaining documentation in line with NHS standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- GMC registration (essential)
- Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register (CCT)
- Experience in old age psychiatry, including CMHT and inpatient care
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
