About Pulse8
We are not your average video production company. At Pulse8, we live and breathe video. We are obsessed with creating content that doesn’t just look good - it actually works. Nothing motivates us more than seeing our clients grow, build authority, and connect with the right audience through the content we produce.
We partner with ambitious, forward-thinking businesses who want to stand out. The kind who are done with bland, corporate video and are ready to show personality, tell real stories, and create content people actually choose to watch.
At the heart of what we do is our unique Pro-Cast service - a relaxed, conversation-led filming style that brings out the best in people on camera and turns it into high-impact content for social and beyond. Around 50% of our work takes place in our fully equipped studio, where we produce everything from Pro-Casts and podcasts to branded content in a controlled, creative environment. The other half sees us out on location across the UK, filming case studies, brand stories, and dynamic content that captures businesses in action.
With a strong foundation in design and storytelling, we approach every project with the end result in mind - crafting content that’s engaging, purposeful, and built to perform. We are a collaborative, close-knit team that cares deeply about quality, creativity, and delivering work we’re proud of. If you love video, take ownership of your work, and want to be part of a team pushing creative standards higher - you’ll fit right in.
The Role & What You’ll Be Doing
We’re looking for a creative, detail-driven Video Editor who can take a project from raw footage to a standout final cut. This is an end-to-end role where you’ll take ownership of the editing process, shaping content that is not only visually strong but also tells a clear, engaging story. You’ll create content designed to capture attention, hold it, and leave a lasting impression.
You’ll work across a mix of formats - from short-form, scroll-stopping social content to longer-form branded videos - always with a focus on quality, pace, and impact.
In this role, you will:
- Edit both short-form and long-form video content
- Create engaging edits, strong hooks, and compelling storylines
- Design eye-catching thumbnails and social media clips
- Add music, graphics, and sound to elevate content
- Ensure all content is on-brand and delivered on time
- Have a keen eye on layout and graphic elements
- Organise video assets and manage your workflow effectively
- Collaborate with the team and respond to feedback
- Support studio shoots and occasionally assist with on-location filming
You’ll play a key part in bringing each client’s vision to life in a way that feels fresh, engaging, and different.
How We Work
First 3 months: 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday, fully studio-based
After that: Flexible hours with hybrid working
Not fully remote - you’ll need to be in the studio for filming, client work, and key production days. This is a results-driven role. We trust you to manage your time, but deadlines and quality always come first.
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
- 2+ years professional editing experience
- Strong skills in Final Cut Pro X
- Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator
- Knowledge of colour grading and sound design
- Strong storytelling ability
- Understanding of social media content and trends
Bonus if you have:
- Motion graphics or animation experience
- Filming experience (Sony cameras, lighting, audio)
- Confidence working with clients
How You’ll Work & What We Expect
You’ll manage your time using shared calendars, with clear visibility of your availability. Projects are tracked through Trello, with defined deadlines and priorities. Regular communication and progress updates are expected.
In return, we expect:
- Consistently high-quality work delivered on time
- Strong ownership of deadlines - delivery is non-negotiable
- Proactive communication and organisation
- A team player mindset, with a willingness to get involved and support where needed
Salary & Perks
£25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
Performance bonuses
25 days holiday + birthday off
2 wellness days per year
Optional pension
Our Hiring Process
As a small, close-knit team, it’s important to us that the role is the right fit for both you and us. We keep the process simple and fair:
- Video interview
- In-person interview
- Paid trial day in the studio (rate agreed upfront)
The trial day gives you a real feel for how we work, the type of projects you’ll be involved in, and the team you’ll be working alongside, while also allowing us to see your skills in action.
If you enjoy turning raw footage into something people genuinely want to watch, and you’re looking for a role where you can grow, experiment, and develop your creative skills, we’d love to hear from you, please apply by submitting your CV and we will be in touch.
