Are you a compassionate Occupational Therapist seeking a new opportunity to expand your skills? Pulse is currently looking for a Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist to join our well-established NHS trust in Leatherhead. This full-time position is available to start as soon as possible for an ongoing period of 3 months.

Position Details:

  • Role: Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist
  • Location: Leatherhead Hospital, covering Dorking, Leatherhead, and Banstead PCNs
  • Contract Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (30-minute break) for an ongoing period of 3 months.
  • Driver Required: Access to own vehicle is essential
  • Pay: Competitive, to be discussed upon application.

Responsibilities:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide expert advice and support to prescribers, commissioners, operational staff, and the community. Your responsibilities will include enabling individuals with physical disabilities to achieve maximum independence and safety, assessing patients requiring rehabilitation in their homes, and providing rapid response for admission. You will conduct moving and handling risk assessments, prescribe necessary equipment, and liaise with social services, continuing healthcare providers, and the multidisciplinary team (MDT). Additionally, you will offer assessments for carers or parents and maintain professional and legal responsibility for all aspects of your work.

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • A full driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Experience working in a community setting
