We are currently looking for an empathetic Psychologist to join our client as a CAMHS practitioner in their intervention service, based in Chessington, Surrey. This is a locum position available immediately for an ongoing period of 4 months. The role will entail completing initial assessments of children and young people referred to the team. The post includes delivering psychological treatments and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to children and young people. As the service is a Tier 2 brief intervention service, the Psychologist (CAHMS) will be required to offer an average of 8 sessions. This post involves screening patients for neurodiversity and making referrals to other services as appropriate, while working within a multi-disciplinary team, attending peer supervision and team meetings. This post offers competitive pay rates.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist.
  • Proven experience at Band 7 level within mental health settings.
  • Strong clinical skills with a focus on delivering advanced psychological assessments and interventions in CAMHS.
