Position Overview: As a Specialty Doctor in Addictions Psychiatry, you will play a pivotal role in delivering specialized care and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders and addictive behaviors. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with compassion and expertise, helping them on their journey to recovery and improved mental well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Completion of specialty training in Psychiatry and certification as a Specialist Doctor in Addictions Psychiatry.
  • Demonstrated experience working in the field of addiction psychiatry, with a strong understanding of substance use disorders and addictive behaviors.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to formulate comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development in the field of addiction psychiatry.
  • Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
