Pulse have recently partnered with one of the UK’s specialist providers of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Cardiac Physiologist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Weston-Super-Mare, which is easily accessible via public transport.

As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will be proficient with BSE reporting guidelines, providing a safe and welcoming clinical environment for patients.

Your main responsibilities as a Cardiac Physiologist:
- Perform and report adult trans-thoracic echocardiograms in line with BSE minimum data set and local reporting guidelines
- Ensure quality assurance checks on equipment and action as appropriate
- Submit reports and archive study images in accordance with contractual requirements and local SOPs
- Liaise with relevant hospital departments and GP practices for urgent clinical referrals
- Support with patient bookings, ensuring patient information systems are maintained
What we are looking for in a Cardiac Physiologist:
- Experience of performing and reporting adult transthoracic echocardiograms
- Hold British Society of Echocardiography accreditation (or equivalent), or be currently collating log-book cases for your BSE practical
- A full UK driving license
- A full understanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act, Information Governance Statement of Compliance and Caldicott Principles
- A willingness to embrace new thinking and new technologies
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
