Locum - Serology/Quality Biomedical Scientist

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, Core hours only
Hourly Rate: £29-£31
We are currently seeking a Band 7 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Microbiology to join our client’s team in Bedfordshire. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.
Key Responsibilities
You will perform culture, identification, and sensitivity testing of clinical specimens. You will detect bacterial infections using manual and automated techniques.
Qualifications and Experience
- - HCPC registration
- - Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
- - Experience in Microbiology within a UK based Laboratory
- - Quality – document writing, accreditation/UKAS experience
- - Serology experience
- - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
