Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consultant in Respiratory Medicine to join our dynamic team in Scarborough.
As a Respiratory Consultant, your primary responsibilities include providing expert care in diagnosing and managing respiratory conditions, serving as a leader in the development of respiratory services within the department, and actively participating in teaching and training activities for junior medical staff and students. Additionally, contributing to clinical audits and research endeavours within the department is essential for maintaining and advancing the quality of care. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is crucial to ensure comprehensive and effective patient care delivery. By fulfilling these responsibilities, the respiratory specialist plays a vital role in improving patient outcomes and advancing the field of respiratory medicine.
Requirements:
- Current GMC full registration & licence to practise.
- Entry on GMC specialist register for Respiratory Medicine or within 6 months of CCT date or within 12 months of expected CESR approval.
- Participation on GIM on-call rota is essential (1:16 weekday & 1:8 weekends).
- Minimum 6 months of UK experience.
- Prospective candidates must have already submitted their CESR application or already hold GMC specialist registration in Respiratory Medicine at the time of application.
